Hi, I’m Jennipher Baker! I am one of the two awesome new teachers on the 2nd Grade team at Placer Academy. I look forward to the school year ahead with excitement. I know I am going to enjoy working with the dedicated students, staff and families at Placer Academy and I am very much looking forward to meeting all of you!
I have over 20 years’ experience as an educator, most of those years as a kindergarten and 1st grade teacher. I received my BS degree in Social Science and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential at San Jose State University. I have had a variety of teaching assignments throughout my career (both in the Bay Area and in Rocklin) that have added to my experience and growth as an educator. I have spent the last several years teaching at Rocklin Academy and Rocklin Unified School District.
My husband and I relocated to Rocklin from the Bay Area 13 years to raise our family away from the hustle and bustle. We have three beautiful children who make our lives exciting and meaningful; Paige (27), Sierra (23) and Brayden (12). My son will be in 7th grade at Granite Oaks Middle School this year. It is amazing how time flies! Some of my interests include; spending time with family and friends, reading, music/concerts, and enjoying our cabin in Lake Tahoe.
I am excited about the approaching school year and meeting my new students and their families! I look forward to working together as a team to make this another fabulous year in your child’s education!

I live in Auburn, have two big dogs that I love to run with and I also practice yoga 4-5 times a week. I like to spend my free time with my friends, reading and hiking. I also enjoy cooking and gardening and I am I am passionate about nutrition and living healthy from the inside out.
