My name is Diana Wilson, and I am one of the 2nd grade teachers for Placer Academy for the 2019-2020 school year. My husband, Chris and I have lived in Rocklin for the past twenty-two years. We have three children: Sabrina (23), Stewart (21), and Aaron (19). My family and I enjoy the boating season in the summer. We love to camp and hike as well. Photography is a hobby of mine, so you may see me often with my camera taking pictures of special events around campus. I also enjoy documenting family trips, sporting events, and scenery pictures.
This is my fourteenth year as an educator. I have taught kindergarten, 4th grade, and 6th grade. I am thrilled to now be teaching 2nd grade! I have a passion for teaching early reading, writing, and math skills. I love to do this by differentiating instruction for students. Before teaching in the classroom, I taught PE to grades kindergarten through 6th grade. Prior to entering the field of education, I was a small business owner as well as a marketing coordinator for a public accounting firm. I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.S. in Business Management in 2005. I earned my teaching credential from Chapman University in 2006. My credential is a multiple subjects teaching credential with an emphasis in teaching English language learners. I hold a master’s degree in education with a focus on teaching and learning, as well as an administrative credential.
