TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN:
Do you know someone that has a TK student? Are you looking for a TK option?
PAC is offering TK this fall as an in-person option. Transitional Kindergarten is the first year of a two year kindergarten program for students whose birthdays fall between September 2 through February 2. TK is a half-day program. Give us a call for more information!

How do I apply?
Submit a Placer Academy Charter Request for Admission. This can be emailed to rhowell@placeracademy.org.org or dropped by the school office. Continuing students who are currently enrolled in the charter school do not need to reapply. Applicants will be placed on the waiting list for full classes in the date and time order that they are received.
What is the timeline for the TK and Kindergarten application process?
To be eligible for the TK and Kindergarten random public drawing (lottery), you must submit a Request for Admission as follows:
If I miss the application deadline, can I still apply?
After the noted application deadline, Placer Academy Charter continues to accept applications.
Are applications kept from year to year?
Placer Academy Charter will contact current waiting list families to turn in a reapply application by the end of December each year in order to hold their child's spot on the waiting list for the following school year. Students who do not send in a new application for the following school year by the deadline will be removed from the waiting list.
Are there preferences given to any students in the lottery process?
Yes. The public random drawing will be conducted with the following admission preferences and exemptions being given:

- The TK and Kindergarten lottery was held on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
- Offers will continue to be extended until all spaces are filled.
- Applications received after 4 p.m. on the last school day noted to be eligible for the lottery will be placed on the waiting list based on the date and time your application is received by the registrar. In order to complete the application process, all students receiving an offer for enrollment must submit all required paperwork and may be asked to participate in an interview with the Executive Director.

- Siblings of students already admitted to or attending the same charter school
- Children of employees of the charter school
- Students seeking to change schools under the public school choice provisions of ESEA Title I, for the limited purpose of providing greater choice to students covered by those provisions
